Dear parents and carers,

I hope you had a restful and safe half term.

This is a short update to confirm the school’s arrangements for infection prevention  and control following the government’s lifting of national restrictions during half term.

Having received the education guidance I have summarised the key points on how we will continue to manage the school and environment and keep the school community safe:

  • Testing – Bi weekly On-site testing for pupils will continue – please remember you can opt out of consent by submitting the form HERE
  • Face coverings – remain optional for pupils and staff – we ask for all to be respectful of individuals choice
  • Self-isolation – is no longer required for non-confirmed cases.  If your child test positive on an LFT for Covid they should NOT attend school.  If your child has symptoms and you have a PCR test booked, your child should NOT attend school.
  • Home test kits will continue to be made available to pupils for home testing for day 5 / 7 / 10 return.
  • Remote Learning – will continue to be put in place during Covid related absence for any pupil well enough to learn.
  • Communications – informing of positive cases in school will cease.
  • Ventilation monitoring will remain in place.
  • For pupils not attending school and eligible for Free school Meals, will continue to receive a voucher for the period of Covid related absence.

As we return to normality and living with Covid, we will confirm to monitor infections within school, which may result in locality intervention where cases are high.  Please do keep us informed should your child test positive and together we’ll keep our school community safe and open.

Many thanks for your continued support.

Kind regards

Doug
