APC 3R Team

Overview
Reengage. Refocus. Reintegrate.
Sussex APC is proud to offer the APC 3R Team, a specialist service that supports children and young people in mainstream schools who are finding school life difficult and may be at risk of exclusion.
Our experienced practitioners work closely with each pupil, helping them understand and manage their emotions and behaviour through targeted, relationship-based intervention. We listen carefully, take their experiences seriously, and work alongside them to build confidence, develop healthier choices, and move forward with pride.
We recognise that every young person is unique. That is why our support is highly personalised, whether it involves one-to-one mentoring, small group sessions, emotional regulation strategies, social skills development, or help with reengaging in learning. Our goal is to create meaningful, lasting change that keeps pupils connected to their school, strengthens their sense of belonging, and helps them make positive progress.
We work collaboratively with school staff, leadership teams, and families, offering practical guidance and behaviour support that strengthens inclusive practice across schools. Together, we create learning environments where young people feel safe, understood, and able to succeed.
Referrals to the APC 3R Team can be made through the Alternative Provision or Inclusion Support Referral route via the West Sussex Dashboard. Parents and carers play an essential role in this process, and we work in partnership to ensure each child receives the support they need.
