APC Blended Learning & COAST

Overview
Our Blended Learning provision is the commissioned provider for West Sussex under Section 19 policy, offering a flexible and personalised approach for pupils who are unable to attend a traditional school setting due to medical or exceptional circumstances.
By combining face to face teaching with online learning, we ensure every young person remains connected to education and continues to make progress. Each student follows a bespoke programme shaped around their needs, abilities, and aspirations, delivered by specialist staff who understand the importance of trust, consistency, and encouragement.
Our provision also works alongside COAST (Crisis Outreach Acute Support Team), a Pan Sussex multidisciplinary service supporting young people as an alternative to hospital admission or as part of a supported discharge. Young people receiving Intensive Home Treatment through COAST can continue their education through a personalised package developed in partnership with families, schools, health professionals, and other services involved in their care.
Across Blended Learning and COAST, the focus is on maintaining a meaningful connection to education while supporting each young person’s health and wellbeing. We help students re-engage, refocus, and prepare for their next setting, whether that is school, further education, training, or employment, giving them the structure and support to move forward with confidence.
